More than 3,000 rodeo fans proved that not even a gloomy forecast can dim the spirit of Cheatham County as they packed the arena for the 2nd Annual Legends Bank Ride’em & Rope’em Rodeo. Mud or no mud, the community showed up ready to celebrate two unforgettable nights of rodeo action, family fun and Tennessee grit.
Each night kicked off with a patriotic, horse-led opening ceremony that set the tone with pride and pageantry. Friday’s crowd was treated to the powerful vocals of Ellen Marconi, a well-known regional favorite whose performance brought the arena to a standstill. Saturday followed with equally strong vocals from local standout Pat Pollifrone, whose rendition carried the unmistakable heart of Cheatham County.
Rafter M Rodeo delivered a powerhouse lineup of elite bucking horses and bulls, bringing top-tier stock that kept riders on their toes and fans on the edge of their seats. Nine-time champion rodeo clown Mike Wentworth filled the arena with laughter, while iconic announcer Mark Northall kept the energy high and the crowd informed from start to finish.
The future stars of rodeo shined bright as 31 mutton-busting riders competed for custom champion buckles, earning some of the loudest cheers of the weekend. Surrounding the arena, more than 108 vendors and sponsors helped bring the event to life, offering food, crafts, service, and support that showcased the best of local and regional businesses.
Bringing a vision to fruition by the Cheatham County Chamber of Commerce and countless volunteers, the event poses to be on the most anticipated annual events of the year. In CHEATHAMAZING fashion it bonds unity in the community while showcasing Cheatham to the rest of the world in true rural spirit.
This year’s rodeo even drew international attention, welcoming guests from as far as London, England, all eager to experience the rowdiness of wild bulls and bolstering broncs in the heart of Middle Tennessee.
The Legends Bank Ride’em & Rope’em Rodeo continues to grow, continues to unite the community and continues to prove that Cheatham County knows how to put on a show. The countdown to 2027 has already begun.
