Gazette Book Club announces July selection: ‘The Many Lives of Mama Love’

The Kingston Springs Gazette Book Club has selected “The Many Lives of Mama Love” by Lara Love Hardin as its July read.

The club will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 27, at SKYKING Pizza, where attendees can enjoy themed drinks, a themed activity and a discussion of the memoir.

Part memoir and part redemption story, “The Many Lives of Mama Love” chronicles Hardin's journey from suburban soccer mom to opioid addiction, incarceration and ultimately rebuilding her life. After serving time in prison, Hardin reinvented herself under the nickname "Mama Love" and went on to become a successful ghostwriter, helping others tell their stories while reclaiming her own.

Praised for its honesty, humor and resilience, the memoir explores themes of addiction, motherhood, forgiveness and second chances.
