Kingston Springs Elementary School has been recognized as one of the best schools in Tennessee, earning a Level 5 designation from the Tennessee Department of Education for the 2024-2025 school year.

Level 5 is the highest rating a school can achieve under the Tennessee Value-Added Assessment System (TVAAS) and signifies that Kingston Springs students are making more academic progress than their peers across the state.

Nearby Pegram Elementary Fine Arts Magnet School received a Level 4 designation, while Harpeth High School earned a Level 3 score, reflecting continued growth among students in those schools. Pegram Elementary received this designation last year as well. It was also named a reward school in 2018. Harpeth High School was last named a reward school in 2022.

TVAAS analyzes student achievement data over time to measure academic growth, giving teachers and administrators insights into the effectiveness of classroom instruction.

The Cheatham County School District praised the accomplishments of Kingston Springs students, staff and families.

“These results are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our school community,” the district said. “Everyone – from teachers and students to parents and community members – plays a role in helping our students succeed.”

This recognition continues a tradition of excellence at Kingston Springs Elementary, highlighting the school’s commitment to fostering strong academic growth year after year. Kingston Springs Elementary School has been designated as a Reward School every year since at least 2017.
