Four Harpeth High School (HHS) seniors have been chosen to continue their impressive athletic careers in college – including at two NCAA Division I schools.
Scarlet Pajer signed a Division I athletic and academic scholarship in April to attend Ball State University in Indiana for gymnastics. Pajer has competed in gymnastics her entire life. She won the all-around state championship the last four years and her team has won the state championship the last five years. She was also named Gymnast of the Year by USA Gymnastics Tennessee.
Lily Lessard signed on May 7 to play soccer at Cumberland University. Lessard served as one of the team captains her senior season and was the top goal scorer both her junior and senior seasons. She was awarded the Offensive Most Valuable Player this year for the Lady Indians.
Ethan Gailey also signed with Cumberland University for a soccer athletic scholarship. Ethan will be pursuing supply chain management. He had an impressive junior year making the all-district team and served as team captain his senior year.
Ella Edwards signed on May 13 to cheer at NCAA Division I school Tennessee Tech University. Edwards has cheered for over 10 years and served as one of the team captains at HHS her senior year. She made the All-American team at the UCA camp last summer. Additionally, she made the UCA staff team and will work with them this summer. Edwards was part of a competitive All-Star team, Cheerville Venom, this past year. While cheering for Cheerville, the team placed first and became national champions.
The staff at the Kingston Springs Gazette wishes well for each of these class of 2025 athletes as they embark on the next chapter of their athletic and academic journeys.
