City Manager views successful season for farmers market

As hummingbirds stopped in midair to marvel at his energy, Kingston Springs City Manager John Lawless ping-ponged from one corner of the park to the other Saturday morning, Aug. 31, checking dozens of details to ensure that the town's last Farmers & Artisans Market of the season was a pleasant experience for everyone attending.


Shoppers and browsers entering the park streamed past a refreshing misting fan beside which sat bowls of water for the dogs accompanying several people in line. To their right were two corn hole boards ready for action. Just ahead stood a shady tent fronted by a sign offering “free freezer pops.”
