Farmers and Artisans Market debuts with sunshine, music

In spite of a menacing downpour a few hours earlier, this year's first Kingston Springs Farmers and Artisans Market, held Saturday, May 25, in the lot just across the railroad track from City Hall, was a sunny success.


The event drew 14 vendors and two food trucks and was adorned with a temporary stage on which three singer/songwriters belted out hits and hoped-for hits for the steady stream of shoppers and browsers that threaded through the 9 a.m. to noon array of food and art displays.
