KS to open spring youth soccer registration

The Town of Kingston Springs will open registration for its youth recreation league soccer program – ages 4 through 12 – on Monday, Jan. 15. 

Registration will close on Feb. 11. The season is tentatively scheduled to begin on March 16 and end on May 18. The fee for each child is $80.  

There are three different age groups: 4 to 5 years; 5 to 8 years; and 9 to 12 years. 

City Manager John Lawless said that there are typically 12 teams between the three age groups, but it’s been as high as 14 teams in the past.  

However, the town typically has difficulty finding coaches for each team. As an added incentive, they are offering fee waivers for players whose parents are coaching their child’s team.
