Jamie Emery is a self-proclaimed theatre kid, testifying that she has been singing, acting and dancing “since I came out of the womb.”
“My sister and I as kids put on little plays, and I could remember being at my grandparents house and discovering this big floodlight flashlight that he had, and was like, ‘Let's put on a show,’” Emery said. “And that became a tradition of him holding the spotlight and my sister and I singing and dancing.”
Emery, 56, brings more than 25 years of both performance and teaching experience to Harpeth High School’s drama program, noting that she has a degree in vocal performance with an emphasis in musical theater and opera.
