The 2024 Special Olympics Tennessee State Basketball Tournament kicked off March 8 at Lipscomb University in Nashville, and both Harpeth Middle School (HMS) and Harpeth High School (HHS) brought home medals. The event featured 37 teams from across the state. Of those teams, 22 were traditional (all Special Olympics athletes)

With the second semester well underway and basketball season officially over at Harpeth Middle School (HMS), the community is encouraged to support spring sports at HMS: baseball, softball, track and field, and boys soccer. Baseball will hold its first home game on Feb. 27 at 5 p.m. versus Fairview.

Harpeth High School’s (HHS) Morgan Jackson was selected to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association’s (TWSA) Class A All-State volleyball team on Jan. 10. The middle hitter signed with Freed-Hardman University (FHU) to play four more years of volleyball on Dec. 5. FHU is no stranger to HHS volleyball.

The Town of Kingston Springs will open registration for its youth recreation league soccer program – ages 4 through 12 – on Monday, Jan. 15. Registration will close on Feb. 11. The season is tentatively scheduled to begin on March 16 and end on May 18. The fee for each child is
