The Ark seeks donations for annual South Cheatham school supply giveaway
The Ark is asking the community to help ensure South Cheatham students head back to school with the supplies they need by supporting its annual School Supply Giveaway and Back to School Kickoff later this summer.
The Ark is asking the community to help ensure South Cheatham students head back to school with the supplies they need by supporting its annual School Supply Giveaway and Back to School Kickoff later this summer.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to noon at Kingston Springs Elementary School, where backpacks and basic school supplies will be distributed to students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
Organizers estimate it costs about $25 per student to provide a backpack and essential supplies and are hoping to assist more than 200 students this year. Donations will help ease the financial burden on local families while also reducing the need for teachers to purchase classroom supplies out of their own pockets.
Monetary contributions can be made through Noah’s Closet or via the organization’s Venmo account using the QR code included in The Ark’s promotional materials.
The annual giveaway aims to ensure every child in South Cheatham County begins the school year prepared to learn and succeed, regardless of financial circumstances. Community members interested in supporting the effort are encouraged to donate before the July 25 event.
