Constable vacancies in Districts 5 and 6 to be filled in November special election

No one pulled a petition to run for either office during the August election period.
The special elections will be held as part of the Nov. 3, 2026 election, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., according to the Cheatham County Election Commission.
Candidates interested in running can pick up petitions now. The qualifying deadline is noon Wednesday, Sept. 9.
Those interested in seeking either constable position should contact the Cheatham County Election Commission at 615-792-5770 or visit the election office at 318 Frey St., Ashland City. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Nov. 3 election will also include the state and federal general election, as well as the uncontested municipal election in Kingston Springs.
