HHS Fall Sports
Fall sports are wrapping up at the high school. The football, girls soccer and volleyball teams are working hard this year, head to one of the last home games to show your support this season, and be sure not to miss senior night!

Harpeth High School Community Tailgate
Join Harpeth High School in the senior parking lot on Thursday, Sept. 25 to kick off Homecoming weekend. The tailgate is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and will feature games, face paint, food, trivia and more. A powderpuff game will follow at the HMS football field at 7 p.m.
Harpeth High School Homecoming
Make plans to join Harpeth High School for its annual Homecoming festivities on Friday, Sept. 26. The football team will face Stewart County at 7 p.m. Halftime will feature the crowning of the Homecoming queen, and, as always, the parade will take place at 4 p.m. before the game.
FISH FRY Sept. 27 at Pegram United Methodist Church
The annual Fish Fry at Pegram United Methodist Church is Sat., Sept. 27, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. or until it sells out. Patrons purchase a ticket for each meal, and pick up their food from the food truck in the parking lot. They can eat inside the church in Fellowship Hall, or take meals to go. The popular menu includes fried fish filets, baked potatoes, white beans, coleslaw, drink and dessert. Plates with one fish filet are $10; and plates with two fish filets are $12. Additional filets are $2 each. The church is located at 479 Thompson Rd., across from the Pegram ball fields. For more information, contact the church at (615) 646-6033.
Kingston Springs Food Truck Mondays
Food Truck Monday has returned in downtown Kingston Springs! The event will run every other Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. through the end of October. The next Food Truck Monday is on Sept. 29.
Pink Out for Hope Booby Bolt and Paint the Town Pink
Pink Out For Hope will host its 12th Booby Bolt 5k and Kids Fun Run on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, at the Pleasant View Community Park. Register here today. Paint the Town Pink is also returning to Cheatham County. Decorate your business by Oct. 1 to raise awareness for breast cancer and be in the running to win first place. Register your business here.
Art in the Park
Registration is now open for Kingston Springs' annual Art in the Park, to be held on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is free to attend and there is no charge to be a vendor. More information here.
Hunter Education Classroom Course
On Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., learn from Bubba Parker to become a certified hunter education graduate for free at the Kingston Springs Fire Department. This class is all ages, however, the certificate will only be valid for those 9 years and older. Preregistration is required. Sign up here.
Sunday Supper: Fall Produce Cooking Class
Gather with our community on at West Glow Farm on Sunday, Oct. 5 at 4 p.m. for a masterclass from local resident and chef Hal Holden-Bache from Lockeland Table. In this farm-to-table cooking class we will use ingredients from West Glow Farm to make a beautiful meal to share together at the end of the class. Secure your spot today.
CCHGA: Mound Bottom and the Tunnel at the Narrows
The Cheatham County Historical and Genealogical Association is pleased to announce an upcoming program featuring the Harpeth River State Park Rangers. The rangers will present a special discussion on two of the area’s most fascinating landmarks: the ancient Mound Bottom site and the historic Tunnel. This program will offer visitors the opportunity to learn more about the prehistoric mound complex, one of the most important archaeological sites in Middle Tennessee, as well as the unique hand-cut tunnel built by Montgomery Bell in the early 1800s. The meeting will take place Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cheatham County History Museum in Ashland City.
Colby's Army 10th Annual Yard Sale Extravaganza
Colby's Army, a local nonprofit organization, will hold their 10th Annual Yard Sale Extravaganza Friday and Saturday, Oct. 17 and 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Colby's Army Learning Center (1394 George Boyd Road, Ashland City, TN 37015). The extravaganza is a yard sale, bake sale and arts and crafts sale, combined with fun family activities such as meeting a therapy horse and walking the facility’s trails. This year, intake of donated items for the sale runs from Sept. 1 through Oct. 4. Residents are encouraged to set up a drop-off time by emailing info@colbysarmy.org, or leaving a voice or text message at 615-434-4111.
Harvest Fields Baptist Church Fall Festival
Harvest Fields Baptist Church in Pegram will hold its annual fall festival on Oct. 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be followed by a community "weenie roast" from 5 to 8 p.m.
Supper and Song: A Night to Benefit The ARK
The ARK's 5th annual Supper and Song is returning to West Glow Farm on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 5 p.m. Tickets are now on sale here.
Young Buck Classic
We’re proud to announce the 1st Annual Young Buck Classic, presented by Turnbull Outdoors — a weekend built for kids, tradition, and the great outdoors. Pegram Trunk-or-Treat and Spaghetti Dinner
The South Cheatham Ministerial Alliance will host its trunk-or-treat event on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 5 p.m. at Pegram Park. In conjunction with that event, the Pegram Community Club at the Depot will host its annual spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Adults are $10 and kids are $5.
Halloween on Main Street
Join the Town of Kingston Springs for its annual trick-or-treat on Main Street on Friday, Oct. 31!
Harpeth Harvest Fest
The third annual Harpeth Harvest Fest benefiting the Friends of Harpeth River State Park returns on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Hidden Lake! From 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., you can look forward to face painting and a children's craft area, plus live music, artisans, food trucks and a special new Nature Learning Tent with talks throughout the day. Join Us for Coffee and Conversation at Tuesdays in the Newsroom
The Gazette will begin holding "office hours" at local coffee shop Turnbull Provisions. Join us on every first and third Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon to share your comments, questions, concerns and, of course, your story ideas!
Local Celebrate Recovery Group
A Celebrate Recovery Group has started at First Baptist Church of Pegram, 4548 Sunnyfield Drive. It meets each Thursday night at 6 p.m. for a fellowship meal, followed by worship at 7 p.m. and small group break out sessions following.
Celebrate Recovery is for anyone who deals with any hurt, habit or hangup. It is not just drugs and alcohol. Grief, food addictions, sexual abuse, childhood trauma, co-dependency, and more. It is a faith-based, 12 step program. Everyone is welcome.
