Kingston Springs City Recorder Jamie Dupre retires; town has no plans to fill position
After nearly seven years serving the Town of Kingston Springs, City Recorder Jamie Dupre officially retired on May 29.
After nearly seven years serving the Town of Kingston Springs, City Recorder Jamie Dupre officially retired on May 29.
Town officials recognized Dupre, 65, during the May 21 Board of Commissioners meeting, where Finance Director Kellie Reed thanked her for her years of service to the town and its residents.
“Jamie Dupre has decided that she will be retiring, and her last day with the town will be on May 29,” Reed told commissioners. “We wanted to take some time tonight to recognize and honor Miss Jamie for her service with the Town of Kingston Springs as Town Recorder.”
Dupre began working for the town in October 2019, initially shadowing longtime City Recorder Debbie Finch, who served in the role for more than 30 years before retiring.
“During her tenure, she has contributed to the daily operations and administrative functions that support the town and serve the community,” Reed said. “We sincerely appreciate her time, commitment, and dedication to serving both the town and its citizens.”
Town officials presented Dupre with a gift during the meeting in recognition of her service.
According to Kingston Springs City Manager John Lawless, Reed will assume the responsibilities of City Recorder moving forward. Lawless said the town does not currently plan to hire a replacement for the position, with staff instead working together to absorb Dupre’s former duties.
