Cheatham County recently celebrated a milestone with its first-ever Ride‘em & Rope‘em Rodeo, a two-day event that brought more than 7,000 attendees to the region from across the Southern United States — and even as far as Massachusetts.

Held on May 23 and 24, the rodeo offered far more than just traditional arena events. Guests enjoyed a vibrant “food corral” featuring regional favorites, a bustling local vendor marketplace, pony rides for families and a lively atmosphere that highlighted the best of Southern culture.

Each evening averaged approximately 3,500 attendees, filling the venue with energy and enthusiasm. But the festivities didn’t stop at sundown. On May 24, the rodeo transitioned into a full-scale concert series that kept the crowd going late into the night. Performances by Tristan McIntosh, Brandon Lee and Preston James created a high-energy finale that perfectly capped off the weekend.

The overwhelming turnout and positive response from attendees signal a strong future for what is likely to become an annual tradition in Cheatham County. As organizers look ahead, the success of the inaugural event has already set a high bar — and established the county as a new hotspot for rodeo and live entertainment in the region.
