Christmas on Main Street returns for a week of holiday cheer

Brought to you by SKYKING Pizza in partnership with the Kingston Springs Gazette and Main Street businesses

The holiday season is set to shine bright in Kingston Springs as Christmas on Main Street returns for its second annual celebration, bringing a full week of festive events, community spirit and small-town charm to downtown.

This year’s celebration – presented by SKYKING Pizza in partnership with the Kingston Springs Gazette and Main Street businesses – will feature everything from Santa visits and cookie contests to live music, wreath-making and a holiday market with all of your local favorites.

“It’s all about celebrating community and local businesses,” organizers said. “Christmas on Main Street gives everyone a reason to come together and enjoy the season right here in Kingston Springs.”

A week of holiday fun

The week kicks off on Thursday, Dec. 4 with the South Cheatham County Public Library’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting at 7 p.m. – a beloved tradition that officially marks the start of the holiday season in Kingston Springs.

On Saturday, Dec. 6, the library will host Santa at 10 a.m., giving families a chance to meet St. Nick.

Festivities continue on Sunday, Dec. 7, when the Town of Kingston Springs hosts its annual Christmas Party at Burns Park starting at 5 p.m. The evening will feature live music, food trucks and the always-popular Lighted Tractor Parade. Santa will make another appearance for photos, and the night will close with a fireworks show over the park.

Movies, music and merriment

On Monday, Dec. 8, the Gazette will transform SKYKING Pizza into a cozy holiday theatre for an indoor movie night featuring “Elf.” Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the movie begins at 6 p.m. Guests can enjoy themed cocktails, pizza by the slice and a hot cocoa bar. Tickets are $5, and seating is limited.

Tuesday, Dec. 9 brings a double dose of cheer – start with Yuletide Yoga at Alma at 6 p.m., then head back to SKYKING for holiday trivia and an Ugly Sweater Contest at 7 p.m.

On Wednesday, Dec. 10, families can stop by Jollifrogs for Pictures with Santa, followed by an evening at SKYKING benefiting The Ark. The event will include live Christmas music by Marina Madden at 6:30 p.m., with a portion of proceeds going directly to The Ark. Guests can also decorate Christmas cards for local families served by the organization.

Creative holiday workshops

The midweek fun continues with several hands-on holiday craft nights.

On Thursday, Dec. 11, Hayley Roberts of Harpeth Moon Farm will lead a holiday wreath-making class at SKYKING at 6 p.m. The $75 ticket includes a cocktail and all supplies to create your own festive wreath. Seating is limited – DM SKYKING to reserve your seat. That same evening, The Fillin’ Station will host a Christmas Jam for music lovers.

On Friday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m., Christina from Grounded Roots will lead a Succulent Snow Globe Ornament Workshop at Turnbull Provisions – where participants can craft their own mini terrarium ornaments for $30. Seating is limited – secure your spot now!

Saturday, Dec. 13 brings more creativity with a Paint & Sip class led by local artist Abby Connor at Turnbull Provisions at 5 p.m. For $45, guests will receive all materials, a cocktail and a guided session to paint a Kingston Springs–themed holiday scene. Seating is limited – reserve your spot by venmoing Abby Connor with the caption "Christmas Paint and Sip." Later that night, SKYKING will host Late Night Holiday Karaoke at 9 p.m.

Main Street Holiday Market finale

The celebration concludes on Sunday, Dec. 14, with the Main Street Holiday Market from 1–6 p.m. The market will feature more than a dozen vendors set up inside SKYKING and along Main Street – the perfect opportunity to shop local, enjoy live music and wrap up the week with holiday cheer.
