How Kit Emery rescued his famous father's records from dumpster doom

An irreplaceable archive of country music history was about an hour and a strong back away from dumpster oblivion when Kingston Springs resident, Kit Emery, stepped in to save it.


Emery's father is the late Ralph Emery, demonstrably the single most influential disc jockey/air personality country music has ever had. But once retired, he was ready to clear out the massive storage unit that housed the artifacts of his long career. Among these were hundreds of vinyl transcriptions of the various radio shows he had hosted from the late 1950s through the mid 1980s, each one featuring live on air interviews with rising and current country stars.
