Still here, still local, still yours

Hey friends,
As we roll into our third year of the “Kingston Springs Gazette,” I just want to say – thank you.
When I first launched this little paper in June 2023, I promised it would be more than just a news source. I wanted it to reflect you – your stories, your celebrations, your passions and all the little things that make our town feel like home. That promise still stands, and it always will.
In our second year, we hit some exciting milestones: we built a community of more than 600 subscribers (thank you!), and nearly 20,000 people read the Gazette – whether it was to catch up on local events, read about a neighbor doing something cool or just stay connected to what’s happening around town. On June 10, nearly 50 of you showed up at SKYKING Pizza to celebrate our 2nd birthday, and I can't tell you how much that meant to me.
One of the most special parts of this past year has been launching our community storytelling series, “Straight From the Source.” These events have quickly become something I truly look forward to – gathering together, listening to one another, laughing (and sometimes crying) as folks share real, personal stories from their lives. It's been a joy to watch this series grow and to see how much heart and honesty our neighbors bring to the mic. (Join us for our next event on Monday, June 23 at 7 p.m.!)
This paper is truly a community effort, and it wouldn’t be what it is without your support, kindness and curiosity. So here’s to year three – more stories, more laughter, more growth and more of you.
Thanks for being part of it all.
With love and gratitude,
Cate Burgan
