Kingston Springs paints new pickleball court

The Town of Kingston Springs announced earlier this month that it plans to convert the basketball court at City Park into a “multi-sport area with the addition of a pickleball court.”

According to the town, the basketball court will be resurfaced and painted this month to include pickleball on one side.

“Benches and other useful elements for both courts will be added in the near future,” Kingston Springs City Manager John Lawless told the Gazette.

“Adding a pickleball court in our parks system has been something both community members and town staff have been discussing for several years, and this year the town was able to put the plans together to make it happen,” Lawless said. “The town is always looking for ways to broaden the scope and usability of our parks and we think the addition of a pickleball court, and the improvement to the basketball court surfacing this addition brings, will be very popular.”
