New cottage salon opens doors in Kingston Springs

Kingston Springs has welcomed a new, unique addition to the town with Taylored Rose Beauty – a cottage salon owned and operated by Jessica Lee who was born and raised in the town.

The name stems from Lee's two children: Jackston Taylor and Vivien Rose, adding a distinctive, personal touch.

The new salon resides on several acres of land that belongs to Lee’s family that once was an equestrian farm off of Highway 70. The space has been transformed from an old tack barn into a luxurious salon offering full hair services including cuts, color, and extensions. Lee explained that she wanted her customers to have a place to "escape to."

"I wanted something that still offered a very luxurious vibe," she said. "We did a huge remodel on the entire building. I've put a lot into it design-wise and it's just a really cool eclectic place to be, but it's also very relaxing," she said.

Taylored Rose Beauty boasts the usual full services that any other salon does with the added luxury of space on the land to host parties after the initial styling. Lee plans for the salon to host a variety of "romantic, intimate events including birthdays, bridal showers, and engagement parties.” Years down the line she hopes her family is able to offer a full glamping experience on the Harpeth River.

Lee has been doing hair for thirteen years, having worked at Salon 102 on Main Street of Kingston Springs before doing work in Nashville. She has also received recognition and notoriety in her color and extension work.

Lee says that owning a salon was a goal she's had for a while and coming back to Kingston Springs with her kids felt like the right time to bring it to fruition. "I think it's a great place and it's home," Lee said.

Lee has a deeply held passion for the hair and beauty industry and while she will be the sole stylist for now, her sister is currently working towards becoming an esthetician to eventually join her at the cottage salon.

Lee wants to bring a little bit of luxury to Kingston Springs, stating it was a great place to set up shop, "It's a picturesque town, it's not too big, it's homey. It's very supportive."
