A huge congrats are in order for the 102 graduating seniors of the Harpeth High School class of 2025! The Gazette wishes them each the best as the move on to the next chapters in their lives. The Fillin' Station in downtown Kingston Springs is launching new summer hours! Starting June 7, the bar and grill will be open Saturdays beginning at 11 a.m. and Sundays at noon. Thank you to everyone who came out to the Gazette's second installment of Straight From the Source on Sunday, May 18, and the biggest thank you to Leslie Liles Allen and Jennifer Harris Scoble who shared their stories of growing up in Kingston Springs. Stay tuned for our next installment of the series in June. TNKids Nutrition is stepping in this summer to fill the breakfast and lunch meal gap while school is out. The organization will be dropping free boxes with a weeks worth of food on Monday mornings through Aug. 6 at Pegram Elementary School at 9 a.m. and the Kingston Springs City Park at 10 a.m. Looking for something for the kids to do this summer? There are lots of local options, and even some that won't break the bank. From faith-based to music programs, the Gazette has gathered all of the south Cheatham summer camps here. SKYKING Pizza is expanding! Now introducing SKYKING Picnic – featuring an outdoor bar with a full dining experience. Located in the green space behind SKYKING Pizza, SKYKING Picnic will be open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 5 to 9 p.m. Congratulations are in order for the Pegram Fire Department's two new firefighters Mike Rosenberg and Isaiah Winter. Thanks to all who work tirelessly to keep our south Cheatham community safe! Don't forget: Summer is in full swing in downtown Kingston Springs, and so are the events! The town's Farmers and Artisans Market will take place every Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to noon through August with fresh produce, baked goods and local crafts. Food Truck Monday is every other Monday evening through August from 5 to 8 p.m. The next event is on June 2. The Town of Kingston Springs will also hold its annual fishing rodeo at Burns Park in conjunction with the TWRA Free Fishing Day on Saturday, June 7. The pond is stocked with fish and an early morning of exciting fishing always ensues. The event is for children ages 4-12, is free of charge and features several prizes and trophies. Thanks are in order for Kingston Springs Commissioner Lauren Hill, who announced on May 28 she would be stepping down from her role to move out of town. Hill also served as the chair of the Planning Commission. Kingston Springs Mayor Todd Verhoven appointed Bob Stohler to fill the now vacant seat. Don't miss the Spontaneous Mountain Boyz on Saturday, June 7 at the Kingston Springs United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. Please join the Gazette in celebrating its second birthday on Tuesday, June 10 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at SKYKING Picnic (the green space at the back of the building).
