Spotlight: Teacher Appreciation Week May 6-10

National Teacher Appreciation Week will start on Monday, May 6, and end on Friday, May 10 this year.

Teacher Appreciation Week is celebrated across the U.S. and acknowledges the dedication of teachers to their students and communities.

According to Teachers of Tomorrow, the annual occurrence is also a time for students, parents, administrators and more to express gratitude for the hard work and invaluable service educators provide to our community and its children.

South Cheatham County is home to four schools, which have received high marks from the Tennessee Department of Education over the past school year.

Kingston Springs Elementary School has been named a Level 5, Reward School and received the only “A” grade in the county from the state. Pegram Elementary Fine Arts Magnet School was also named a Reward School this year. Harpeth High School was also named a Level 5 school by the state.

Learn more about our teachers and their schools via the Kingston Springs Gazette, and don’t forget to show them some appreciation this week:

This Teacher Appreciation Week, the Gazette is giving teachers 15% off all of our subscriptions. Use your CCSTN email and insert code TEACH15 for 15% off our monthly, bi-yearly, or yearly subscriptions.

Community members can also give the gift of a subscription to a local teacher. Contact us at cateburgan@ksgazette.com.
